The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision (abbreviated Image and Sound) is an audiovisual archive with museum functions based in Hilversum.
The cultural-historical institute is responsible for the collection, storage, conservation, documentation, presentation, delivery, study and interpretation of Dutch audiovisual heritage. In total, it manages more than 1,000,000 hours of audiovisual material (including radio and television programs, education and science films, government and commissioned films, documentaries and web videos). The collection is still growing daily.
